Make The Most Of Your Private Lawns With These Fun Outdoor Activities

The best part about having a gorgeous luxury villa such as the Kasu Vana in Anjuna or the Kasu Zama in Assagao is the fact that it has its own private lawns. There’s nothing like beautifully manicured greenery to perk up your mood and make you want to spend as much time outdoors as you probably do indoors. The best part about well-tended lawns is that there are so many fun outdoor activities that you can do with family and friends, so here are a few of our favourites.

Play Giant Jenga

We’re sure you’ve played Jenga before, but have you tried giant Jenga? Well, this is something you probably won’t find at a shop, so you’ll have to make it yourself. Head to a local lumber yard (there’s one in Vagator) and ask for palette wood. Shipping palettes are great for making Jenga blocks and require very little work. Once you’ve made your giant Jenga set, invite your friends over for a fun game.

Host A Barbeque

Get some cold beers and some good meats, bring out the grill, and have a barbeque. While you’re organising fun activities, you know it’s a matter of time before everyone starts to get hungry. Instead of moving into the house, keep the party happening on the lawns with a lip-smacking barbeque.

Water Balloon Dodgeball

This one is self-explanatory, and also a lot of fun. Instead of a regular dodgeball, you use water balloons! It’s fun to play, and really refreshing once you’re wet – especially in this summer heat. You can even put up obstacles and have a water balloon war if you have enough people at your party to make teams.

Have A Picnic

If you don’t have too many people, or you just want to keep it in the family, then pack a little picnic basket and take lunch outside. You can do simple finger foods and sandwiches, and a big pitcher of lemonade. You can also think up a few simple games to keep the kids entertained while they run around.

Lawn Bowling

Have a bunch of empty beer bottles? Great! Put them to use by playing lawn bowling. Line up the bottles as you would for regular bowling, and use a football or basketball as the bowling ball. It won’t be long before you realize that the texture of the grass coupled with the lightness of the ball makes lawn bowling more challenging than regular bowling. This one can stump even the pros!

Blanket Run

This is a fun game that is played in pairs. All you need to do is have your partner sit on a blanket while you pull them across the lawn from one side to the other. Of course, it would help if your partner is light, but don’t go too fast or they might end up with some nasty friction burns!

These are just a few fun summer outdoor activities that you could try out on your private lawns. If you have any ideas of your own, let us know what they are by dropping a line in the comments below. We’d love to hear from you.
